Privacy Policy
Effective 21 July 2026. This explains what data jmochi collects and how it's used.
What we collect
The Telegram profile information you share via the bot or Mini App (user ID, username, display name, language, sex/gender, country, and birthday if you choose to add one); the messages you send characters and the AI's replies, stored to power chat continuity and memory; your Stars purchase and balance history; creator content you publish; support tickets you open; and anonymous usage analytics, described below.
How we use it
To run the chat experience — assembling character prompts, memory, affinity, and chat history; to process Star purchases and creator payouts; to operate moderation and safety tools, including reviewing reported conversations; to send re-engagement or milestone messages within Telegram; and to measure product usage in aggregate.
Analytics and local storage
jmochi's public web pages set an anonymous, randomly generated ID (stored client-side under the key jmochi-anon-id) in your browser's local storage to measure page visits and campaign attribution. This ID is not tied to your Telegram identity unless you later open the bot from the same device. We do not use third-party ad trackers on these pages.
Who we share it with
Telegram, as the messaging platform itself; and our AI infrastructure and underlying model providers, solely to generate character replies, images, and voice notes — conversation content is sent to these providers to produce a response and is not sold. We do not sell your personal data to advertisers or data brokers.
Data retention
Conversation history is retained to support ongoing chat and memory features; older messages are periodically compacted into summarized memory. Characters that go unpublished or inactive are handled under jmochi's in-app deletion-warning schedule — this does not delete your personal account data.
Your rights and data requests
You can ask what data we hold about you, or ask us to delete your account data, by contacting [email protected] or the in-app Support Bot. We currently process these requests manually and aim to respond within 30 days. Deleting your account data will end your ability to continue existing character conversations.
Children's privacy
jmochi is an 18+ service. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has used jmochi, please contact us and we will investigate and remove the account.
Security
We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data, including encrypting creator bot tokens at rest. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
International transfers
jmochi's infrastructure and AI providers may process data in countries other than your own. By using jmochi, you consent to this transfer.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of jmochi after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
